Day 4

I woke up this morning to rain outside my window.  There is nothing better than a rainy morning with the window wide open so you can really hear it coming down.  Today we were to venture down to Darling Harbor and check out the Sydney Aquarium.  I love aquariums so I was pretty pumped about going.  We saw everything from platypuses, to dugongs, and even a huge tank dedicated to sharks.  You should check out the Sydney Aquarium to see a full list of everything we saw.  From here we went over to the other side of Darling Harbor to eat at one of our favorite restaurants in Sydney, Pancakes on the Rocks.  This place never disappoints and always leaves you feeling like you’re about to pop.  I had the chicken and mushroom crepes today and they were some of the best crepes I have ever had.

With tonight being New Years Eve we have planned to go down to the harbor to see the fireworks and just hang out.  I don’t really know what to expect because I have never really been a fan of big new years celebrations.  We went down to the harbor and ended up just sitting on the corner of the street with a few thousand of our closest friends.  There were two fireworks shows, one at 9:00 and one at midnight.  It was a lot of fun spending new years with everyone in a completely new place
