Today we had the gift of not having to do anything as a group. So, naturally I, along with many other of our group members, decided to catch up on some sleep. I slept until 11:00 a.m. which I haven't done since in a very long time. I then took my time taking a shower and went off to find a grocery store in order to get some lunch and some breakfast food. Since we are literally staying in downtown Melbourne we got to see what it is like to try to get groceries and then travel back to our accommodations using public transportation. It is a chore nonetheless and I can't imagine what it would be like if I had to do it on a regular basis. The Coles (Their most popular grocery store) that we found was in a mall/train station. This massive assortment of shops and restaurants housed a bustling grocery store in the bottom of 5 levels.
After arriving back at RMIT Village, I unloaded my groceries and went to the study lounge to catch up on some blogs. Naturally, I got distracted by my friends who persuaded me to go to the pool instead of doing work. The pool was heated which was nice and it was very relaxing to swim around for about an hour. We all came in and ended up cooking tacos with the Old El Paso taco kits that we had purchased from the store that day. I had forgotten how good those things are and I think I'm going to have to make tacos more often when I get back home.
I was finally able to catch up on my blog later on that night and get to bed at a decent hour. We get to go to the Australian Open tomorrow which I am extremely excited about. Until next time, cheers!
