Day 25

We finally arrived in New Zealand.  I was extremely excited about getting to come to here because I had always hear about how beautiful it was.  However, before I could see this amazing country I had to go through customs.  For some reason they are very picky when it comes to any sort of dirt on your shoes and all types of foreign produce.  One of the girls traveling with us actually has to pay a $400 fine for forgetting about the apple that she had in her carry on bag.  I, along with many others in our group, was questioned about cleaning my shoes before I came into the country.

Our first task for the day was to check into our hotel for the next few days.  We are staying at the Waldorf on St. Martin St. here in Auckland and it is awesome.  (This has no relation the Waldorf in New York).  Check out the view from our balcony and how great these accommodations are.

We then met up with the group to go for a walk to a local park.  The weather here is a little bit cooler than it is in Melbourne, which is very nice for someone such as myself who sweats year round.

Cheers!
