This was our last day in Auckland before we have 3 days of
free travel. We took another one of
those awesome vans to the black beaches.
I was confused at first when I heard black beaches, but when I saw it I
knew exactly why they have such a name.
The sand is literally black and it looks so cool. The name of the beach that we went to was
Piha beach and there is a huge rock formation called Lion Rock right in the
middle of the beach.

After leaving the beach we stopped at a little café in
Piha. It was really cool because it was
tucked away in the middle of the mountains and had an awesome menu. I actually ended up getting fresh smoked
salmon and eggs, which was unbelievable.
Tomorrow we are all headed down to the south island to go to
Queenstown. Jay and I have a fishing
trip planned that is a trip of a lifetime.
Until next time, cheers!
